Garbage dumping ground raises stink in Ward No. 6

When will the problem of garbage dumping ground be solved? This is the major demand of residents which they are putting in front of candidates contesting the MC elections from Ward No. 6 (Dadu Majra colony, Dadu Majra and Shahpur villages).

From Ward No. 6, the BJP has fielded Farmila and the Congress has given ticket to Mamta. The BSP is also in the fray from this ward, which has given ticket to Poonam, a local resident.

A visit to the ward reveals that the major problem of ward residents is foul smell emanating from the garbage dumping ground, which further leads to various other problems in the ward.

Seema, a local resident, said their families were living in a hell. Though a number of BJP leaders in the past addressed rallies in Dadu Majra and assured that their problem would be redressed shortly, but nothing has been done till now.

Another problem that ward residents are facing is of poor sanitary condition in the ward. A majority of the residents complain that safai karamcharis are not regular in the ward.

Even the green belts and parks in the ward are not properly maintained.
