Dehradun, October 9
A Garhwali music album ‘Sabase’ of Kripa Ram Joshi was released at a programme held here today. The singer has created rare songs of Jongu and Mahasu deities in a new way in the album. Sunil Datt, Seema Bisht, TD Joshi, Ramesh Chandra and Sakshi Gairola have contributed their voice in the songs.
Earlier, Bollywood actor Hemant Pandey released the album with other dignitaries. Singer Kripa Ram Joshi said, “I have tried to do experiment in traditional folk songs with new techniques of music, so that young generation can get attached with it. Most of the songs of the album are based on folk and traditional deity songs of our Garhwali culture.” Pragya Joshi, Ashutosh Mamgai, RA Khan and Baru Chauhan were present on the occasion.—TNS
