A 13-member German delegation paid a visit to the Motilal Nehru Sports School (MNSS), Rai, under the project ‘German – Indian Classroom Programme’ initiated by Robert Bosch Stiftung, Germany, and Max Muller Bhavan, New Delhi.
This an exchange programme in which two schools, Bal Bharati Public School, Ganga Ram Hospital Marg, New Delhi, and Genoveva Gymnasium, Cologne, Germany, work on a common project topic throughout the year.
The topic for the year is ‘envisioning school: What learning is like in India and Germany and what it could be.’ To accomplish the project the students are involved in various individual and collaborative activities such as collages, scrap books, discussions etc.
A friendly volleyball match was organised between the visitors and the MNSS, Rai, students. It was good to see both the team playing and enjoying the game. Some of the visitors also tried their hands at horse riding. The visitors were quite impressed to see the world class infrastructure and facilities provided to students of the MNSS, Rai.
The Principal and Director of the MNSS VK Verma claimed the delegation was highly impressed by an astro-turf arena for hockey, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a state of the art multipurpose hall, international level equestrian lines and a state of the art gymnasium.
