A woman has lodged a complaint at the Rishikesh police station on Thursday after her 17-year-old daughter was kidnapped by four miscreants. The complainant has named Deepu, Rahtu, Prahbat and Narayan, all residents of Rishikesh, behind the incident. An investigation is on by the police. -- TNS
Two-wheeler stolen
A case of two wheeler theft was registered at the Dalanwala police station here on Thursday. Amit Jain, a resident of Laxman Chowk, has registered a complaint that his Activa was stolen from Guru Teg Bahadur road. -- TNS
Engineers protest
Agitating Uttarakhand Diploma Engineers Association continued with agitation. ‘Repair streetlights’
Members of Kesar Jan Kalyan Samiti have asked Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency to take steps to repair damaged streetlights in Dehradun. One held with liquor
The Rishikesh police have arrested a man on the charges of smuggling 144 pouches of countrymade liquor here on Thursday. According to the information, Iqbal, a resident of Doiwala, was arrested while he was trying to smuggle countrymade pouches of liquor at Doon crossing. The accused was sent to jail. -- TNS
