Girls showcase imagination in drawings

Girl volunteers of the Pratishtha Foundation, a voluntary organisation, organised a drawing competition on the occasion of International Women’s Day here today. Young girls displayed their imagination on paper on the condition of women in society. They also gave a message that besides lobbying for equal rights and opportunities for women in society, there should be a change in homes and neighbourhood. At the end, members of the organisation honoured all girls and volunteers of the NGO.
Shweta Singh, coordinator of the event, said the way children presented their talent was appreciable. It brings out hope of a bright future for girls coming to the organisation and also that change is prevailing in society.
Kritika Gupta, a member of the organisation, thanked the girl volunteers and said the way they had organised the programme and trained children showed that women’s empowerment was taking place and women were acquiring their indistinguishable position in today’s era.
The office-bearers of the Prathistha Foundation, namely president Deepak Kothiyal, vice-president Pranjal Sharma, secretary Deep Prakash Pant and treasurer Chandra Shekhar were present. Vivek Rana, Yeshwant Bhatt, Vaishali Gurung, Manisha Chamyal, Meghna Gupta, Shweta Singh, Saurav Joshi, Kritika Gupta, Ankita Gupta, Nitya Aggarwal, Shikha Aale, Shilpa Chetri, Sonali Kothiyal, Aman Bhatt, Sandeep Rawat, Megha Mal, Kirtika Dayal, Aviral Jain and Reenu Raj also participated in the programme.
