Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority Limited (GLADA) has made a public offer for the allotment of 123 freehold residential plots in Sector 38 and Dugri Phase II and III (bypass) here. The allotment of plots would be made by draw of lots and the scheme would close on January 4, 2016.
Of the plots being offered for allotment at a reserve price of Rs 20,000 per square yard, 52 are with an area of 250 square yards each and 20 with an area of 100 square yards each, located in Sector 38 on Ludhiana-Chandigarh Road.
Besides, in Dugri Phase II and III, there are a total of 51 plots of varying sizes, from 501 to 600 square yards (12), 401 to 500 square yards (28), 301 to 400 square yards (5) and 201 to 300 (6). These plots also carry the same reserve price.
The applicants will have to deposit 10 per cent of the total cost of plot as earnest money while another 15 per cent would be payable within 30 days of issue of the allotment letter. The successful allottees would have the option of making the balance payment either in lump sum or in equated instalments with interest.
According to GLADA officials, of the plot being offered for allotment, 54 per cent are reserved for the general category while reservation has also been provided for the SCs and STs (15 per cent),
serving and retired defence, paramilitary forces and war widows (4 per cent), legal heirs of army/paramilitary forces and Punjab Police killed in action (2 per cent), 100 per cent disabled soldiers of Punjab domicile (1 per cent), riot-affected and terrorist affected families (5 per cent), persons with disabilities – physically handicapped/mentally challenged, visually impaired, deaf and dumb (1 per cent each), freedom fighters (2 per cent), sports persons (2 per cent), gallantry award winners of defence services, paramilitary forces and Punjab police (2 per cent), and Punjabis settled abroad (10 per cent).
54 pc reserved for general category
According to GLADA officials, of the plots being offered for allotment, 54 per cent are reserved for the general category while reservation has also been provided for the SCs and STs (15 per cent).
