Govind Chatak’s birth anniversary

Members of Kirti Nagar Nagrik Samiti will observe the 81st birth anniversary of Dr Govind Chatak, an eminent author from Garhwal, on December 19 in Mussoorie.

Dr Bhagwati Prasad Nautiyal, Charu Chand Chandola will address and shed light on the life of the author and his contribution towards the literature of Garhwal.

Dr Yogember Bartwal will preside over the symposium while Surendar Pundir and Shoorvir Bhandari will be the programme convener on the occasion, said executive members of the committee.

President of the samiti, Kundan Singh Pundir, said the contribution of Dr Govind Chatak towards promoting the regional culture needed to be highlighted and the symposium was being organised to bring the people of Garhwal closer to the works of Chatak.
