Karnal, September 11
Doctors from various parts of the state today signed their resignation and submitted it to Dr Jasbir Singh Parmar, state president of the Haryana Civil Medical Services Association (HCMSA), here during a state-level protest rally.
They said they felt morally dejected and frustrated.
They submitted a memorandum of demands addressed to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to Priyanka Soni, Addirional Deputy Commissioner.
They also served an ultimatum on the government that if their demands were not fulfilled by September 18, they will go on a two-day mass leave on September 19 and 20.
They said all vacant posts of doctors must be filled and the total number of posts must be equal to the Punjab Health Services. They demanded equal pay scale on a par with Punjab doctors, enhancement of allowances on a par with the Centre and security at workplace.
They criticised the transfer policy and called it anti-doctors.
“If then also the government doesn’t pay heed to our demands, we will submit mass resignation to the government on September 21,” said Dr Jasbir Singh, state president, Haryana Civil Medical Services Association.
