Despite the advent of the monsoon and rain affecting the Char Dham Yatra, a large numbers of Gujarati pilgrims are still arriving in Haridwar.

A group of Gujarati traders have organised Bhagwad katha sermon for the past four days at Bhatia bhawan. Pilgrims and tourists from Gujarat are taking part in large numbers.

Local people are attending the daily sermons, which are being versed by Bhawani Lal Maharaj. He was recently felicitated by Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Ben for his contribution to the spiritual field.

“On an annual basis, we organise 10-15 Bhagwad Kathas and religious events to propagate Sanatan Dharma. Listening to religious texts and sermons is better than spending time in other leisure activities,” said Dahya Bhai from Gujarat.
