Gujjarwal village gets its first amusement park, open gym

Gujjarwal, February 25

The first ever children’s amusement park and open gymnasium established by the Punjab Government at Gujjarwal village has spread joy among children of the village and surrounding localities falling under the Dakha assembly segment.

The amusement complex was formally inaugurated jointly by Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ravi Bhagat and Dakha legislator Manpreet Singh Ayali today.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by a kids carnival, which was attended by thousands of children from the area, accompanied by their parents. Kite flying, swings, magic show and gym activities were appreciated by all present.

Appreciating the role played by Legislator Manpreet Singh Ayali in fetching grants for the installation of over forty such parks in the region, DC Ravi Bhagat said the concept would prove highly beneficial for promoting sports culture in the region.

Bhagat reiterated that the Punjab Government was committed for promoting sports culture among the Punjabi youth.

Acknowledging the support received from the public and the administration, Manpreet Singh Ayali claimed that the Dakha assembly segment would emerge as one of the best constituencies of the state.

He said the sports parks, open gyms and children parks would be developed in all villages of his constituency shortly and work on 40 such establishments had already been started. Ayali announced a grant of Rs 40 lakh for other development projects at Gujjarwal village.

Meanwhile, a team of the State Bank of India and SBI Life Insurance, associate partners, supervised by assistant general manager JP Singh distributed tiffins to the underprivileged students of government and private-aided schools of the area.

The scheme launched under the banner “Khushion Ka Lunch Box” as a part of corporate social responsibility was formally inaugurated by MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali and DC Ravi Bhagat. Mohit Jindal, branch manager, Dehlon branch, and Abhay Joshi, zonal area manager (SBI Life), said the gesture would be continued for students of other schools as well.

Prominent among those present on the occa-sion included sarpanch Jaswinder Singh, Gurmit Singh Kular, Satnam Singh Makkar, Tanvir Singh Dhaliwal, Harbir Singh Ayali and Jaspreet Jassie.
