Withdrawal of the official invitation to Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda for the ‘bhoomi pujan’ of National Cancer Institute, damage to stamp papers worth Rs 62 lakh by termites in Treasury, reversal of City Magistrate Bijender Hooda to stenographer by the state government, escape of three children from the Bahadurgarh shelter home and the Kadian khap’s historical decision of establishing matrimonial relations among eight gotras (sub-castes) by removing century-old social impediment were the major happenings in Jhajjar district this year.
The very first day of the New Year brought trouble for the Jhajjar police as charred bodies of four Delhi youths were found in a car near Issarheri village.
Two illegal arms factories were unearthed in Barhana village this year, while the recovery of highly explosive hand grenades, strips, detonators and other items from the Noona Majra-Tandaheri road triggered panic among the people.
