Gurpal Chahal new Patiala Municipal Commissioner

The Punjab Government has posted senior PCS officer Gurpal Chahal as the Patiala Municipal Corporation Commissioner, following the transfer of IAS officer PS Gill who goes as DC Moga.
After assuming charge of the corporation, Chahal promised to expedite developmental works in the city.
“I will continue to work hard for the city and its residents. An earlier stint in the district gives me a fair idea of some of the problems that the city residents face,” said Chahal. “Some of the pending developmental works in the city are on my priority list, besides strict action against illegal encroachments,” he added.
In April, Chahal, who was then posted as the Patiala Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) was shifted as Additional Managing Director, Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation. Chahal had completed two years as the SDM here in March 2016.
