The hailstorm and strong winds not only uprooted trees in some parts of the town but also led to snapping of power lines. Power supply to many areas in McLeodganj remained disturbed yesterday evening. Today, power supply was erratic due to strong winds.

The hailstorm also affected wheat crop in the town. Kamlesh, a farmer of Sakoh, said heavy hailstorm would likely to affect the crop production. In some places, the crop was flattened and would likely to be exposed to fungal diseases.
