Hisar, April 10
In view of the rising demand for the creation of more districts, the state government has sought feasibility of carving out Hansi district from Hisar district. The demand for the upgrade of subdivisions of Charkhi Dadri and Gohana in Bhiwani and Sonepat districts, respectively, have also been pending for long.
The Revenue Department has directed the district administration to submit to the state government the feasibility report and a resolution for the upgrade of the Hansi subdivision.
Referring to the orders of Agriculture Minister OP Dhankar, who is chairperson of the Reorganisation Committee, the Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Revenue (FCR), in a letter dated April 7, has asked the Deputy Commissioner to furnish eight-point information on the demand for the creation of Hansi district.
The FCR has asked for the proposed villages, which can be annexed in the new district along with village wise land record and population. The information of the revenue circles, administrative blocks, police stations, urban local bodies and the distance of the newly established district headquarters from the existing district headquarters has also been sought.
The district authorities have also been asked to prepare a report about the monthly expenses of the offices that need to be set up in the proposed district and the impact on the existing district. Sources said the proposal to upgrade the Narnaund block to a subdivision was also in the pipeline.
