Haryana traffic cops to wear body-cameras

With a view to bringing transparency in the functioning of the police force, the district police authorities have directed the traffic policemen to wear body-cameras during their duty-hours.
Launching the drive by affixing body-cameras on traffic cops here on Tuesday, Rohtak SP Pankaj Nain said here on Tuesday that the body-cameras would record all activities of the traffic police personnel and bring transparency in their functioning.
Apart from this, cameras were also affixed on the vehicles of SHOs and police post in-charges.
In the beginning, 15 body-cameras and 15 vehicle-cameras have been installed.
