High drama took place in the Amritsar - Delhi Shatabdi Express after passengers were served stale food.
The passengers were in for a shock when they were served stale food after which they lodged a complaint to TT Saurabh Sharma.
Parth, a resident of Sarabha Nagar, who was travelling to Delhi in Shatabdi Express, said the bread served to passengers had fungus on it.
Heated arguments took place in Ambala after the railway staff allegedly expressed its inability to replace the breakfast served to passengers.
The matter was resolved when the railway staff assured them that the issue would be addressed to higher authorities.
A formal complaint was lodged by over 10 passengers against the caterer. They said the bread which was served to them had fungus and belonged to Ludhiana-based Bonn Bread Company. A few passengers had complained that the packed food, too, smelt bad.
It is not for the first time that passengers have complained of being served substandard food in Shatabdi.
