The play written by Amrit Kashyap and directed by JBS Sodhi, who also essayed the important role of Fauji Mama, was based on a socially relevant theme of woman empowerment. Since the household drama was structured in the very intimate family environment like the drawing room comedy, the audience relished it by relating the incidents with their daily life.

Most of the characters were enlivened by the senior citizens who looked so close to the intent of the role like the family head exhorting his sons to command supremacy and keep their wives subjugated with a secondary status only. This leads to frequent acrimonious debates, tension among all members but the head (JP Sharma) was in no mood to relent despite efforts by ‘fauji mama’ (JBS Sodhi). However, good sense prevails on him after a word of advice from his mentally retarded son (Sarabjit Singh).
