The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) today declared the result of six posts of Child Development Project Officers and 12 posts of Tehsil Welfare Officers (on contract basis) in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. Interviews for the posts were held from February 9 to 13.
In all, 16,033 applications were received out of which the candidature of 13,734 candidates was provisionally admitted while the candidature of 2,299 (14.33 per cent) candidates was rejected for not remitting the requisite fee.
The screening test was conducted at 52 examination centres in nine district headquarters in the state on March 2, 2014, in which 9,526 candidates appeared and 386 candidates qualified for the main written examination, informed a spokesperson of the commission.
He said the candidature of 53 more candidates were rejected for want of the required qualifications and the remaining 333 candidates were provisionally admitted for the main written examination held on November 10, 2014, in which 274 candidates appeared and 56 were called for interviews.
He said the names of 18 candidates had been recommended to the state government for appointment. The details are also available on the commission website www.hp.gov.in/hppsc.
