After the first residential e- auction turned out to be a complete failure, the second e- auction has managed to sell half the plots. The first such auction held in October had managed to sell just 13 out of the 43 plots. However, with reduced base prices, HUDA has managed to sell 12 of the 24 plots this time around.
Thirteen 14 marla plots, three two kanal plots, seven two kanal plots along with one 10 marla plot was auctioned today. While the base price of one of the one kanal plots was Rs 3.32 crore in the previous auction, a one kanal plot had a base price of Rs 2.21 crore this time. The highest bid this time was for a two kanal plot in Sector 4 of Mansa Devi Complex which went for Rs 5.53 crore against the base price of Rs 4.91 crore.
While the 12 sold plots had a base price of Rs 36.09 crore, they fetched HUDA a total of Rs 42.41 crore.
The base price of all 24 plots was Rs 66 crore. According to Estate Officer Virat, the results are unexpectedly very good especially after demonetisation. He added, “The auction has yielded better results than what we expected. We have done much better than last time, especially if one considers the timing of the auction.”
e-auction of 27 commercial sites on Dec 29
After the e-auction of residential plots, 27 commercial sites are to be auctioned on December 29. These include nine iron and steel shops in Sector 15, a total of 16 booths (without basement) in Sector 4 and Sector 8 and two DSS with basement in Sector 25.While the booth sites in Sector 4 have a base price of Rs 43.60 lakh, booth sites in Sector 8 are priced at Rs 124 crore. Seven iron and steel shops have a base price of Rs 2.23 crore while two located in the corners have a base price of Rs 2.50 crore. The lone DSS with basement has a reserve price of Rs 81.02 lakh.
