Khuda Baksh and Hardeep Singh are two talented singers from Punjab, who have brought laurels to the state by coming in the top-10 list of contestants in Indian Idol, a show being telecast on Sony Television.
Very down to earth, Khuda Baksh, a 21-year old Mukhtasar resident, is living his dream of becoming a professional singer despite losing his father at an early age of 5. The aspiring playback singer’s style, range and confidence has left judges as well as the audience spellbound.
“I have five sisters and my mother is a domestic helper. Being in Indian Idol is like a dream come true. Life has changed completely. I wish to get the trophy and do Punjab proud,” Khuda Baksh said.
Hardeep Singh, a 23-year-old professional singer from Ludhiana, shared: “I used to sing in restaurants and was struggling from an early age. People used to enjoy food and I used to sing. I even felt bad at times. But life is all about this. Now, by the grace of God , when I have got such a huge platform, I will give my best to win,” he said.
After visiting their hometowns recently, they were surprised to see the grand welcome given to them by their fans.
The love, support, praises and appreciation they have received has only encouraged them to give in their best in the show.
Khuda Baksh and Hardeep Singh feel all singers in the show are very talented and it would not be easy to get the trophy, but they will try their best, they said.
