I-T sleuths raid Sirsa MLA’s house, business premises

The Income Tax Department today raided the business and residential premises of INLD MLA from Sirsa Makhan Lal Singla.

Sleuths of the I-T Department led by Shiv Swaroop, Joint Director (Investigation), Gurgaon, and Gaurav Bansal, Assistant Director (Investigations), reached Singla’s house on the Dabwali road in the morning.

The raid was in progress at the time of filing the news report. No details about the recoveries were available.

It is unknown whether or not Singla was in the house at the time of the raid.

Sources said raids were in progress at business establishments of MAPSKO Group owned by Singla’s family in Haryana and National Capital Region (NCR).

The MAPSKO group named after him and his brothers’ first names — Makhan, Amrit, Prem, Sohan, Krishan and Om — has multi-crore business interests in liquor, real estate and automobile.
