Sonepat, April 13
Indian Institute of Technology and Management (IITM), Murthal, won the inter-college football championship of the DCR University of Science and Technology, Murthal, by defeating the host Murthal University team 3-2 in the final match played here yesterday.
The university team was leading 2-1 till the interval. But Vikas Dahiya’s two goals in the second half gave a decisive lead to IITM to retain the title. Vikas was adjudged the man of the match in the final.
South Point Institute of Technology, Sonepat, won the bronze. Prof BP Malik, chairman of the Chhotu Ram chair in the university, gave away the prizes. — OC
