Indian Idol fame singers host wedding reception

Dehradun, December 7

Dehradun’s Gorkha pride Kapil Thapa, Indian Idol season four runner-up who had married winner of the same season Sourabee Deb Barman, hosted a wedding reception here today.

Both were in a relationship from the Indian Idol 2008-2009 season and had got married on November 24 at Agartala in Tripura.

The bridegroom hosted a reception in Naya Gaon, Dehradun.

They are one of the most famous couples of the reality TV show. Both have travelled around the world for various shows. Sourabee, who was the first woman winner of Indian Idol, has acted in regional films after her title. She has also released two albums ‘Mehrbaan’ and ‘Fariyadein’.

Kapil has sung as a playback singer for movies as well released his Nepali album titled ‘Idols’. Various showtime personalities, fellow singers and local politicians attended the reception.
