The government has decided to hire private buses on kilometer basis to provide commuters with better and adequate bus services on all main routes, said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while interacting with mediapersons after inaugurating the state’s biggest bus stand here today.

“We will hire only drivers and buses of private operators while conductors will be of the Haryana Transport Department. The roadways unions have been apprised of the decision and they have no objection over it as the buses will be under control of the Transport Department,” said Khattar, adding that the government was ready for talks with any roadways’ union in this context.
