Jind, April 17
Ruckus erupted at Jind ADC Gauri Prashar Joshi’s office when she received a memorandum, seeking compensation for rain-hit farmers, from three INLD MLAs, sitting on her official chair.
MLAs Parminder Dhull from Julana, Pirthi Singh Numberdar from Narwana and Dr Harichand Middha from Jind City alleged when they informed the ADC that she should at least stand and receive the memorandum as per protocol, the ADC flatly refused. Infuriated, the MLAs decided to lodge a complaint with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Secretary, and the Speaker of Assembly.
“The loosening grip of the government over its bureaucrats can be gauged from the fact that an ADC openly refused to stand up and accept a memorandum from three MLAs,” Dhull claimed.
Meanwhile, ADC Joshi denied the MLAs’ allegations and said she attended the MLAs on priority with due respect.
