JKSRTC starts bus service from Jammu to Kakryal

The Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) has introduced a bus service from Vaishanvi Dham near the Jammu railway station to Kakryal, which will immensely help patients coming to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital for treatment and OPD consultation.

The journey takes 90 minutes and the bus can transport 120 persons per day in two trips. The bus is scheduled to leave from Vaishanvi Dham in Jammu at 8 am and 2 pm everyday and the return trip is at 12 noon and 5 pm, respectively.

“This is a very good initiative taken by the Transport Department for the people of Jammu as they either had to travel in their own vehicle or use the mini-bus with a break journey,” said Brig MM Harjai, Chief Administrator Officer of the hospital.

“Now with the bus facility, more number of patients can benefit and travel with ease,” he said. The service will also help students of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and the SMVD College of Nursing in Kakryal.
