A pall of gloom descended at Mushkabad village following the death of famous kabaddi player Gurvinder Singh Goldy (33) here late last night.
Gurmel Singh, father of the deceased, informed that Goldy died due to a heart attack. He said Goldy got married 1.5 year ago and was survived by six-month-old daughter.
A number of players and Kabaddi lovers attended the cremation at his village today.
Gurmel Singh added that Goldi was a regular player of BC Academy, Samrala, and later with Alankar Tony Academy Kubbe. He used to play matches in other countries with the teams of these academies.
