Kalayat youths clean Kapil Muni Tirath sarovar

The sarovar at Kapil Muni tirath of Kalayat which was covered with wild grass and other waste material a few weeks ago gives a different look now, thanks to youths who cleaned this historical pond. Earlier, the whole area used to stink as it was strewn with waste material.

Earlier attempts at cleaning the sarovar were suspended midway for one reason or the other. However, youth encouraged by social worker Sanjeev Rana accomplished the task this time, giving the sarovar a new look. — OC

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
