Mussoorie, February 14
A month-long ‘kebab festival’ at Moasaic Hotel in Mussoorie has brought a welcome change for residents from the hullabaloo of the Assembly elections scheduled for February 15.
The festival has become a place for voters as well as candidates’ supporters to relax after a hard day’s work.
“There is talk of elections everywhere we go nowadays but the kebab festival is enough to take us to a world of dreams where food is a major part of discussion,” said Rajat, a local businessman.
Head chef at Charcoal Restaurant Abhay Saxena said kebabs and biryanis are something truly loved in the country. “We thought of coming up with the festival at this time to provide some relaxation to the people who are engaged in the talks of elections and want to escape from it for a brief moment so that they go back to supporting their candidates with a renewed vigour the next day,” he said.
A few kebabs to taste are kumbh-e-khas, lazeez paneer, kabuli shami, gulfami seekh, stuffed galawat, murg bano kebeb and udhan jalpari. The biryanis include kabuli makhana biryani, murg parda biryani and mahi biryani.—TNS
