Besides visiting the native village of the founder of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Babu Kanshi Ram in Ropar district, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal will also pay obeisance at Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib on March 15.
Party sources said Kejriwal would stay at the native place of Kanshi Ram for about three hours. He would informally talk to people gathered there and also meet Kanshi Ram’s sister Swaran Kaur and other family members.
"There is no plan to address any rally or meeting. Kejriwal will only interact with people gathered there for some time,” said Durgesh Pathak, organising secretary of AAP.
Afterwards, he would move to Anandpur Sahib to pay obeisance at the Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib. Then he will leave for Dera Ballan in Jalandhar district. This religious place is popular among the Dalit community across the country. Kejriwal would stay there for two hours and interact with residents. He will meet head of the Dera Ballan Sant Niranjan Dass.
Kejriwal had also offered prayers at the Ravidass Temple on the occasion of the Guru Ravidass Jayanti in Varanasi in the the last week of February. Dera Ballan is also associated with Guru Ravidass.
