Khattar hits back at Hooda’s ‘inexperienced’ jibe

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda would know the difference between his and the present government when he would be put behind bars.

There were reports that Hooda had recently termed Khattar-led state government inexperienced. Khattar, who was here, said: “Who is having experience and who is without experience, Hooda will know after going to jail.”

On Kurukshetra MP Raj Kumar Saini, the Chief Minister said that he was not aware of reports of a separate political party to be floated by the MP. “Saini knows it better and only he can give reply to it,” he said.

When asked about the willingness of Saini to become CM, Khattar said: “Hamare yahan CM banane ki chooth hai, jitney bhi chahe utne ban sakte hain.”

CM opens nature park

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today inaugurated a Rs 40 lakh nature and wildlife awareness park spread over 15 acres in Bir Bara Ban here. He was accompanied by Forests and PWD Minister Rao Narbir Singh and Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu.

In his address, Khattar said: “The state government is observing ‘Wildlife Safety Week’ from October 1 to create awareness about nature and wildlife”.

The Chief Minister said: “The government is paying attention towards the breeding and safety of rare species like hyena (lakkadbagha), vultures (gidh), Indian gazelle (chinkara) and peacock (mor) at our wildlife conservation centres”. The government was implementing various programmes like ‘Har Ghar Hariyali’ and ‘Har Gaon Pedon Ki Chaon’ for the betterment of environment”, the CM added.

The CM also released the annual report of the Forest Department.

Principal Chief Conservator of forests Amarinder Kaur appealed to the people to inform the department immediately whenever they spotted any rare animal species. The department, she added, was going to start soon a helpline for rescuing rare animal species.

Technical snag hits security vehicle

A technical snag on Tuesday hit the jammer vehicle of the Chief Minister's cavalcade. The security team removed the jammer from the vehicle here and sent it for repair. The Chief Minister's motorcade moved ahead without the jammer vehicle.
