Lalit Thakur, Zila Parishad member of Kilod Ward, has alleged that step-motherly treatment is being meted out to Kilod ward, which falls in the Bharmour tribal Assembly constituency of Chamba district, as far as development works are concerned.
In a statement issued here today, Lalit Thakur said certain elected representatives of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) were being overlooked and not being taken into confidence by the state government while considering the development schemes of the area.
He said the construction of the link road in Balouth panchayat could not be undertaken so far, though the foundation stone had been laid three years ago. Same was the situation of the Sahanaka bridge, he added.
Lalit Thakur said development works were not possible merely by laying the foundation stones, but these should be executed practically.
The Zila Parishad member said he had sought clarification from the departments concerned about the funds, which pertained to the local area development authority.
