In a letter to the president of the governing body of the MAM on August 6, the Dean of Colleges, KU, said: “The case has been considered by the Vice-Chancellor and he has withdrawn the approval to the appointment of Dr Parmod Kumar Bajpai as principal in 2011.”

GD Gupta, an advocate, had complained that Bajpai had concealed a criminal case pending against him while applying for the post of principal in 2011.

Gupta said he had forwarded copies of the order of the High Court as well as that of the Director, Higher Education, to the KU Vice-Chancellor.
