The BJP legislator from Lansdowne, Dilip Singh Rawat, along with other MLAs held a dharna outside the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly here today. He was demanding an increase in the ex-gratia amount disbursed to the victims of animal attacks.

A few minutes before the start of the Assembly session, Dilip Rawat along with other party members took up positions outside the gallery leading to the Assembly hall, “Animal attacks on humans are increasing in my constituency. People are fleeing their homes. The government should increase the ex-gratia amount given to the victims of the animal attacks,” he said.
