The Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital management has started a free bus service for patients on three different routes in the city.

The buses will pick up patients from different points, bring them to the hospital for treatment and then take them back in the evening. The service will run from Monday to Saturday.

Medical Superintendent Dr Vinay Rai said the bus service was flagged off by Mahant Devender Dass from the hospital premises here today. Rai said villagers from far-flung and remote areas were requesting bus service for patients.

On Route No. 1, the first bus will start from Kulhal bridge (Paonta Sahib border) and will ferry patients from Dharmawala, Sabhawala, Sherpur, Singhniwala, Naya Gaon Palio, Barowala and Majra areas.

On Route No. 2, the second bus will start from Dakpathar bus stand for patients of Vikasnagar, Herbertpur, Selaqui, Bhauwala, Prem Nagar, Panditwari, Vasant Vihar and GMS Road areas.

On Route No. 3, the third bus will start from Goolarghati for patients of Balawala, Miyanwala, Mohkampur Market, Majri Mafi, Gorakhpur, Nawada, Deep Nagar, Doon University, Mothrowala, Bengali Kothi and Kargi Chowk.
