The Haryana Hindu Mahasabha has again kicked up a row by seeking land from the state government for installing a statue of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse in Meham town of the district.

After performing a ‘havan’ on Godse’s ‘shaurya divas’, Dharampal Siwach, state vice-president of the mahasabha, said everybody knew that Godse killed Gandhi but what triggered him to do so was still not known to many.

Mahasabha state president Ramesh Panu maintained that the ‘Beti Bachao campaign’ launched by the Prime Minister recently could attain success if members of the Hindu community married girls from other religions.
