Ludhiana, February 8
A 38-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances at his house in Shimlapuri area.
The deceased has been identified as Parminder Singh. He was working on a night shift at a factory unit.
Saroj Rani, the wife of the deceased, said her husband committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan.
She said the incident came to light last night when Parminder did not leave for work. When she entered the bedroom, she was shocked to find her husband hanging from the ceiling fan. She raised an alarm following which her son rushed to the room and informed the police about it.
The body was rushed to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem. The investigating officer said a case would be registered after receiving the autopsy report. —TNS
