Man kills two kids, commits suicide

Sonepat, July 18
Mukesh (40), alias Deenu, of Khewra village committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan after allegedly strangulating his son Nihal (7) and daughter Himanshi (5) at his house yesterday.
His wife, Preeti (25), was also found hanging from a fan.
Pradeep, Deputy Superintendent of Police, with Dheeraj Kumar, Rai Station House Officer, reached the spot. The police sent the bodies to the Sonepat Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.
The DSP said a case of murder had been registered against Mukesh on the complaint of Sudesh, Mukesh’s father-in-law, of Chiri village in Rohtak district.
The sources said both the children were from his first wife, who had died two years ago. His second marriage was solemnised with Priti, his sister-in-law, about five months ago. They said Deenu was a habitual drunkard and Preeti objected to it.
