Mandi town received mild snowfall in the afternoon amid continuous rain. Last time, when the town was covered with white blanket was in 1990.
Several mountains peaks around the town were seen covered with snow and Balh valley, near the town, also received snowflakes.
Higher reaches in the district received moderate to heavy snowfall and most of the link roads in the Chuhar valley, Barot, Jhanjheli, Seraj valley and Kasog remained affected. Other areas of the district, including Nerchowk, Gutkar, Baggi, Pipaloo, Rewalsar, Nainadevi Mata, Dadore, Manjhwar, Devdhar, Sikandadhar and Duadhar, also received snowfall. Several areas in Katindi and Kataula were covered with two to three inches of snow.
