With a view to promoting religious tourism in Bharmour, the Manimahesh Temple Trust will launch its website for wide-ranging publicity with regard to the religion signification of age-old temples with detailed account of its legends for the guidance of visitors.
This was stated by the Deputy Commissioner of Chamba Sudesh Mokhta while presiding over a meeting of the Manimahesh Temple Trust at Bharmour yesterday after his return from the tour of the Manimahesh shrine.
For the protection of temples, the DC directed the officials concerned of the trust to create fencing around the temple complex soon after the process of demarcation of the Chaurasi temple complex of Bharmour was completed.
“For the daily movement of the locals, a separate path will be developed so that the sanctity of the temples can be maintained,” the Deputy Commissioner said.
He said the Kugti Temple in the area would also be included in the trust. He said closed-circuit television cameras would be installed in those temples which come within the purview of the trust.
The resolutions to be prepared by the trust regarding the inclusion of the Kugti Temple, deployment of officials and temple management committees for each temple for taking care of the temples would be submitted to the government for approval.
