The marriages of 70 girls of economically weak families were today solemnised at a mass marriage ceremony held at Gurdwara Gurparkash Sahib at Kherri village, about 7 km from here.

Chairman of the Sarbat Da Bhala Sewa Dal and Sikh preacher Baba Daler Singh Khalsa of Gurdwara Gurparkash Sahib, Kherri, and another Sikh preacher Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrian Wale gave blessings to the newlywed. The marriages were held with the financial assistance of the Sikh Sangat from the country and abroad by the Sarbat Da Bhala Sewa Dal.
