Medical camp held

A free blood sugar check-up camp was organised here on Monday by the Social Welfare Society in association with the District Legal Services Authority. Shashi Kant, president, Social Welfare Society, Fazilka, said 164 persons got their blood sugar and blood pressure checked at the camp. Doctors told them measures to be taken to control BP and sugar levels.

Anti-drugs seminar held

At a seminar organised by Joshi Foundation at Nehru Park on Saturday night, speakers shared their views on the concept of a drug-free society. Pramil Kalani, MC president; Vimal Thatai, district Congress president; Rajneet Singh Phore, president, Bar Association; MD College of Education Principal RP Asija and environmentalist Rakesh Sehgal asked people to work together to combat the menace.
