ML Kapila is Sahnewal’s Senior Citizens Welfare Assn president

The annual election of Senior Citizens Welfare Association of Sahnewal was held in the library of Nagar Council here today.

Mohan Lal Kapila was elected as the president of the association, while Jagtar Singh Sandhu was elected as the association vice-president.

Sampooran Singh was elected the general secretary, Sham Lal joint secretary, Jaspal Singh Dhillon as organising secretary, Sant Ram Sharda as finance secretary and Sher Singh as the auditor of the association.

The president on behalf of the governing body said they would work for the welfare of the senior citizens on a priority.

Also, the general problems related directly or indirectly to the senior citizens would be taken up with the officials concerned from time to time, he added.
