In a rare show of strength, MLAs of the Congress, BJP and Himachal Lokhit Party today protested the damage to the name plate of the state’s first Chief Minister, Dr YS Parmar, by the IT firm engaged by the Vidhan Sabha authorities here today. They demanded immediate action against the director of the company.
Asha Kumari, (Congress), Baldev Tomar, (BJP), Suresh Bhardwaj (BJP), Jai Ram Thakur (BJP), Vikram Kapur, Righi Ram Kaundal, Karnesh Jung, Independents, Govind Ram Sharma (BJP), Vinod Kumar (BJP) and other legislators staged a dharna on the premises of the Vidhan Sabha.
The dharna was called off when the Vidhan Sabha secretary apologised to the protesters. HLP chief Maheshwar Singh demanded action against the IT company.
