Model patwar bhawan building opened at Pandoga

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abhishek Jain today inaugurated the building of Model Patwar Bhawan at Pandoga panchayat in the district.
It is the first such village-level revenue office in the district, which has computer connectivity, safe storage facility for revenue records, signages regarding fee and charges for various documents, adequate seating space for visitors and residence facility for the Patwari.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said as the Patwar Bhawan acted as a direct link between the public and the government for various routine works, these offices needed to be people friendly and comfortable. He said the patwar bhawan had been given a facelift at a cost of Rs 5.5 lakh.
The DC said funds for the installation of two solar lights and a public water cooler in the patwar bhawan complex would be provided by his office. A garden was also being developed in the compound. He said two village revenue offices in each tehsil would be developed as similar models.
The DC announced a grant of Rs 50,000 to every revenue tehsil of the district for binding revenue books and directed officials to update all records. He also announced a grant of Rs 2 lakh each for civil works in Santoshgarh and Khad patwar bhawans, besides Rs 1.5 lakh for the Ispur Kanungo office.
Una SDM Prithi Pal Singh and District Revenue Officer Vishal Sharma were also present.
