Dehradun, February 27

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address yoga participants through video conferencing on the 29th edition of the International Yoga Festival to be held early next month at Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Swargashram, Rishikesh.

Yoga experts, practitioners and gurus from across the world will take part in this festival from March 1-7 which is being organised jointly by the Ministry of AYUSH, the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board, Government of Uttarakhand, Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam and Parmarth Niketan Ashram.

Sadhvi Bhagwati of Parmarth Niketan Ashram today said a Prime Minister Office communiqué had been received which confirmed that Modi would address delegates through video conferencing at 12:30 pm on March 2 .

Uttarakhand Governor Dr Krishan Kant Paul will inaugurate the yoga festival on March 1 at the Yoga Ghat of Parmarth Niketan Ashram.

Renowned yoga gurus Shankaracharya Divyanand Teerth Maharaj of Bhanpura Peeth, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Asanganand Saraswati, Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishan, Swami Chidanand Muni Saraswati, Dr Pranav Pandya, Mooji Baba, Prem Baba, Vedn Drikunj Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpocheji, Ven Bhikkhu Sanghasenaji, Sadhvi Abha Saraswati, Mahant Durga Das, Suryendu Purji and Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashannad Maharaj among several revered spiritual yoga gurus will take part in this festival.
