With an aim to boost mushroom farming, the Central University of Haryana (CUH) in Jant-Pali village of the district will impart special training to farmers of eight villages at the Mushroom Cultivation Centre in Murthal.

Prof RC Kuhad, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Haryana, said the move aimed at encouraging the farmers to adopt new farming methods for earning considerable profit.

Five farmers will be selected from each of the eight villages - Jant, Pali, Laavan, Bhurjat, Dholi, Malda, Sehlang and Dhana- for the training programme that will be held from March 9 to 12.

All these villages have been adopted by the Central University of Haryana and the training would be given free of cost, he added.

The sarpanches and panches of all these villages have been asked to provide the names of farmers for the programme.
