Nagrota Bagwan growing as educational hub: Bali

Nagrota Bagwan has been growing as an educational hub and the town is also showing tremendous growth in the economy as over 10,000 students are studying in different institutes in the area.
Transport, Food and Civil supplies and Technical Education Minister GS Bali said this at the annual day function of Rainbow International School at Nagrota Bagwan yesterday. He was the chief guest on the occasion. He expressed satisfaction over the overall development of students of the school in the field of academics, sports, music, games and gymnastics.
He was impressed with the presentation of cultural and gymnastic feats demonstrated by the students. He appreciated the efforts of the school in bringing students close to their national and cultural ethos. He encouraged the students to make the best use of the opportunities being provided to them.
Meritorious students were awarded cash prize and mementos. Apart from academics, achievers in different fields were also awarded.
Neelam Sharma, a teacher, was awarded for her punctuality and regularity. Som Prakash Gupta (83), a teacher, was also honoured by GS Bali.
Principal of the school Dr Chhavi Kashyap read out the annual report of the school.
Students performed German dance, Gujarati folk dance, bhangra and western dance during the function. The chief guest also released the newsletter of the school.
