NCFM exam for city residents
Ludhiana: Students and professionals in Ludhiana can now look forward to attractive jobs in the financial sector because the National Stock Exchange (NSE) provides an opportunity to them to appear for the NSE's Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM examinations) from its Ludhiana NCFM centre. Students can learn about the various aspects of the financial markets by simply opting for the NCFM modules run by the National Stock Exchange and appearing for a test atthe Ludhiana NCFM centre. NCFM or NSE’s Certification in financial markets, is an online testing and certification programme, which gives candidates expertise in financial markets, on capital markets’ operations, derivatives trading, mutual funds and various other market modules.

Central Bank launchesits 349th branch
The Central Bank of India inaugurated its 349th branch office at Kasba Bhural (District Sangrur) under the Ludhiana region. DS Sahi, a higher official from Chandigarh Zone, informed that the bank was the first ever ‘swadeshi bank’ and their priority was to provideall types of banking services to the public. He informed that Central Bank’s business size was Rs 24,360 crore (Chandigarh Zone). Sahi further informed that a creditto the tune of Rs 2,525 crore had been extended to agriculture sector outof the total advancesof Rs 10,387 crore of the zone. — TNS
