Karnal, February 23

Scientists, students and other faculty members of the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) today bid farewell to former Director of the institute Dr AK Srivastava, who joined as a member, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB), New Delhi, which recruit scientists for the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), on January 30.

Dr. Srivastava joined the NDRI on April 25, 2009, and served the institute for about nine years.

Dr RRB Singh, Director, NDRI; Dr. Bimlesh Mann, Joint Director (Research), former Joint Director SK Malik and other scientists recalled the institute's achievements under Dr Srivastava's leadership.

Dr Singh said the NDRI got Sardar Patel Outstanding Institute award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for its outstanding contribution in the dairy sector.
